How do I get started? Call Sally! Consultations are always free prior to booking your appointment and of course throughout the whole process. Being part of the planning allows you to define the image you are seeking to capture. Is this for personal or professional use or both? Advertising or promotional? Serious or playful? Will you desire creative or standard poses? With or without your animals? Friends, family, pets, studio vs environmental. Locations, clothing selections and interests. Lets discuss the image you wish to capture, what you want, what you actually need and of course, your budget. It's important to me that I get to know what's important to you.
Because we specialize in "natural light" photography for most of our clients, scheduling ahead is a must. Our schedule fills fast for weekend and evening appointments. While we often times make adjustments for weather having a plan and a schedule eliminates much of the stress. If outdoor shots are your choice please understand that there are only 2 times of day that truly provides the beautiful soft light that make your portraits really sparkle. If you are a very organized morning person I recommend first light. For morning sessions we rarely shoot anything prior to 6am and never after 10am. If your schedule dictates an afternoon shot we strive to capture the early evening light. Optimal lighting depends on the time of sunset and sunrise and of course varies from season to season. If we are photographing horses, dogs, small children or anything else that will require an extra person please take into consideration all that is needed to pull off a morning session. Studio sessions are available at anytime.
When you have booked your appointment you will be asked to pay a sitting fee. This fee covers your photo session, consultations and all proofs. Proofs may also be posted online for review by family and friends. We will not place your proofs online without your permission. All photos will be available in color, black and white, sepia or antique tone. Minor photoshop corrections are free of charge on prints that are ordered. Extensive photoshop corrections are billed at $50.00 per hour in 15 minuet increments. Sitting fees start at $50.00. For individuals requiring a full photographic portfolio for advertising, website use or memory books an hourly rate is available.
Proofs are typically available 3-5 days after your final session. A deposit equalling 50% of the total order is required upon ordering. The balance is due when your order are delivered. payment can be made using Cash, Check, Money Orders, Mastercard and Visa.
